"Man oh man, 'Dr. Menlo.' Now there's an alternative blog. Kindness to animals, Seattle anarchists, nudism galore, SubGenius, anti-Bush black propaganda, jeez louise, Doc, that thing sure is happenin'." --Bruce Sterling, Schism Matrix

"American Psycho, it pretty much sums up what's going on," said Scott Matthews, a clerk at Toronto's Exile where the shirt also has sold out several times in the last two weeks. The $10-decal, which can be ironed onto an array of clothing items, officially became the shop's hottest seller when Susan Sarandon sauntered in and bought one, he said.
Don't forget folks: for the best in modern nudist photography, goto Coccozella. Few know that Cocco is actually a lady and a nudist one at that! (nude pics of her exist on the site, but none with her face, alas) . . .
Her mission? "I want young women to feel as comfortable as I do walking around naked. My name is Candy Mejia."
Imagine our elation when Candy sent us a thank you for linking her on SLA some months ago, an elation only heightened by her inclusion of a link to another photo gallery of her posing as a nudist in a jungle-esque setting, with permission to use on our site! Imagine our disconcernment, however, when we went back to that site to get us some pics, and found that it was gone! Candy! Why didn't we mirror it when we had the chance? Can you give us another chance?!
See also:BodyFreedom.org, which we like except for the flash-is-mandatory part: slow down! Let us goto flash by choice!
In this time of a momentary lull in the Bush junta invasions-series and the advent of spring, it would seem a salacious idea to take a break from the horrors of man and instead adorn one's eyes with the beautiful sight of naked humans enjoying nature. And each other, natch ;) . . .
I DEEPLY ADMIRED Fred Hampton during the late 1960s, when he was a charismatic Black Panther leader from Chicago. A brilliant speaker, he could transform an unruly crowd into a rapt congregation with the turn of a phrase. Or so it was said; I never met him, but he was my age, and from the sound of things, as streetwise and tough as I was not. The 2,000 miles between Oakland and Chicago only enhanced a presence I'd fashioned from news clippings, photos, rumors, and stories. When the Chicago police murdered Hampton years before the Panthers self-destructed, they spared him and me the complications of the future – dead heroes won't let you down. [more]

Mr. Muhammad, the archaeologist, directed much of his anger at President Bush. "A country's identity, its value and civilization resides in its history," he said. "If a country's civilization is looted, as ours has been here, its history ends. Please tell this to President Bush. Please remind him that he promised to liberate the Iraqi people, but that this is not a liberation, this is a humiliation."
Our feet crunched on the wreckage of 5,000-year-old marble plinths and stone statuary and pots that had endured every siege of Baghdad, every invasion of Iraq throughout history -- only to be destroyed when America came to "liberate" the city. The Iraqis did it. They did it to their own history, physically destroying the evidence of their own nation's thousands of years of civilisation.
Not since the Taliban embarked on their orgy of destruction against the Buddhas of Bamiyan and the statues in the museum of Kabul -- perhaps not since the Second World War or earlier -- have so many archaeological treasures been wantonly and systematically smashed to pieces.
Of course, there is one thing that is safe in Iraq. There is one thing that the US military is guarding. Can you guess what that is? And no, I don't believe that the US invasion of Iraq is all about oil, but it's certainly a large part of it . . .
Site creator Lance Brown: "I think exposing the PNAC to the general public is the best way to challenge this war (and the subsequent wars that are coming up down the road)."
I couldn't agree more. In addition to targeting PNAC, I think we should also compile extensive dossiers on all the key players in the Bush admin now (Blair and Sharon included). The bottom line is we cannot let these 20 or so evil men commit mass murder, snub international law and continue to attempt to reshape the world into their delusional fundamantalist vision. It's not America against the rest of the world--it's the PNAC and their golem. It's the PNAC and their golem who are sending American kids to die overseas. It's the PNAC and their golem who are murdering Iraqi civilians. It's the PNAC and their golem who are also conducting a War on America as they pursue their international imperialism: enlargening the gap between rich and poor, cutting social programs including health benefits for vets, and giving millionaires generous tax breaks (and this is just a thumbnail). It's time to stop these truly evil fucks.
