“Dr. Menlo” is a pseudonym that first appeared in the Corpse in 1999.
The next year, the domain drmenlo.com was bought and /home.html made into a blog with blogger [when blogger worked on domains], and the whole thing was hosted originally at Laughing Squid (2000).
Dr. Menlo Blogs From Space!, to my knowledge, is the first picture blog.
Drmenlo.com also hosted several blogs and launched several new ones, which since have rcvd their own domains (am presently making list of both).
